This website features lesson plans and reference information for my classes.

Fundamental to all of my courses is the philosophy that students learn best by doing. Therefore, you will find an abundance of projects and activities all designed to help students master content.

At the left side of this page, you will find links to lesson plans and activities for my current and former courses as well as a wide variety of reference materials.

American History focuses on the period from Industrialization to the present. Students in this course develop the knowledge and skills needed to be successful on the Social Studies section of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

World Cultures focuses on the period from 1750 to the present. Students in this course develop knowledge and skills needed to be successful on the Social Studies section of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT), which they will take in the spring of their sophomore year.

Sociology is the study of human group behavior. Students in this course learn basic sociology concepts and then apply them to a variety of situations.

Psychology is the study of human behavior. Psychologists seek to explain why we behave the way we do. Students will learn some of the basic ideas that psychologists have developed about human behavior and how to apply those ideas in their lives.
